New York Yankees 4, Brooklyn Dodgers 2. The offenses dominated as the two teams hit a then-record 17 homers. Mickey Mantle hit two dramatic homers in the Series but struck out four times in four at bats in Game 3. Billy Martin set a record with 12 hits and the Yankees chalked up their fifth straight World Series crown, an all-time record.
