Color home movies of major league players during the World War II era taken by Washington Senators teammates George Case and Mickey Vernon. There is color footage of 40 future Hall of Famers including three--Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio and Bob Feller--who left the ballfield for the battlefield and then returned to the game. Also includes rare color footage of Honus Wagner in spring training and Babe Ruth when he was honored at Yankee Stadium in 1947. Four presidents (Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy) are shown throwing out the first ball.
